Arts & Business Council, a long-time Boston grantee, provides a range of support to artists and arts organizations in the community. The Foundation supports two projects at ABC: the Teen Art Law program and the Annual Brown Rudnick Holiday Card Contest.
The Teen Art Law program introduces Boston Public School students to legal issues related to the arts. Recently, the program covered copyright and trademarks law using contemporary legal cases. Students in the program participated in lively discussions around creative expression, property rights, and reputational harm to businesses and artists.
The Annual Brown Rudnick Holiday Card Contest is a beloved tradition at the firm. Students from participating Boston Public Schools submit holiday-themed art to be considered for Brown Rudnick’s holiday card. Students from elementary school to high school create art that speaks to the holiday season using a variety of artistic methods. Employees of the firm vote on the winning card design. This year, the firm selected “Universal Holiday” for its theme of inclusivity and joy.
The Brown Rudnick Charitable Foundation provides annual Relationship Grants to education focused non-profits and schools who work with underserved populations in the cities where we have offices. We are honored to support these valuable organizations as they make a positive difference in their communities.
