pro bono: Dushman Award



Each Spring at his "State of the Firm" address, Brown Rudnick CEO Joseph Ryan presents the Brown Rudnick Center for the Public Interest M. Robert Dushman Pro Bono and Community Service Awards. These two awards honor both a successful Brown Rudnick attorney and a non-attorney whose professional or work life has demonstrated the qualities and commitment to the public interest that distinguished the firm’s late partner, M. Robert Dushman. As part of this honor, awardees earn the right to direct the firm to make a $2,500 donation to the reputable charity of the recipients’ choice.


 The 2016 Brown Rudnick Center for the Public Interest Dushman Awards were presented to;

STEVEN POHL (Pro Bono Award to an attorney)

ELIZABETH MOLINO (Pro Bono Award to an attorney)

MARIE BERNADEAU (Community Service Award to a non-attorney)


Steve has designated his contribution be divided among multiple charitable organizations including the Volunteer Lawyer's Project, Brown Rudnick Charitable Foundation, Treehouse Foundation and to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.


Elizabeth has designated her contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.


Marie has designated her contribution to Korektho, Inc. in support of the Lekol Korektho School in Haiti serving over 400 students in the town of Thomonde.
